Do you love to sing, but feel like you don’t have the confidence or skills to do it? Do you secretly sing in the shower or in the car, but feel terror at the thought of anyone actually hearing you?
That’s completely natural. But, you know what else is natural?
Singing.
Singing is a full-body, sensory experience that is accessible to anyone and everyone. As the oldest form of music, it requires no equipment besides the human body. Bonus: It’s a natural way to regulate your nervous system through soothing vibration, find calm, and channel pure healing expression.
Liberate your breath. Liberate your true voice.
My lessons are designed to dissolve your blocks—through yogic breathwork, body awareness, and classic vocal technique—so you can release tension, expand your breath, and uncover the voice that’s already yours.
Each lesson with me begins by tuning in: quieting the mind, grounding the body in gentle movement, and awakening the breath. Through yogic breathwork practices, we open the channel of the voice from the inside out. We will also chant mantra, a word or incantation in sanskrit—a powerful tool to develop resonance, projection, and breath control. Mantra is sound in its purest form—a way to steady the breath and unlock the natural power of your voice, while also calming the mind.
From there, we explore the voice as an instrument of the whole self. Classic vocal techniques—breath support, intonation, phrasing—blend seamlessly with mindful awareness, so that singing becomes less about performance and more about connecting with yourself. Together, we’ll choose songs that speak to you, working not only on how you sing but how you feel when you sing. The goal: to feel free and at ease.
Testimonials
Working with Jennifer is an extremely inspiring experience! For a person like me, who hadn’t been able to accept her own voice her whole life, it was surprisingly painless to finally do so, guided hand-in-hand by Jennifer. Her gentle and supportive approach has allowed me to loosen up and feel free to try and do things I had previously been uncomfortable with. I like her breathwork routine and the way she adapts the singing exercises during the class, based on my performance. Jennifer is generous with her feedback on my progress, making the time spent in class not only joyful and pleasant but efficient and productive. I can also study at home between classes thanks to the tasks Jennifer assigns as homework. Overall, very happy to be her student! – Alexandra Multianova
I think it’s not only important to know how to use your voice and stay in tune, but also how to use your breath to your advantage, both to sustain a long note or to project the sound—and Jennifer nails it with her breath exercises. Not only did I learn from the very beginning how to use my voice and find the pitch, but I also learned a ton of useful breath exercises, from calming myself down to pumping myself up. It’s like doing two classes at once! – Felipe Ramos
Jennifer creates a space where it feels warm and safe to explore my voice and let go of excessive self-consciousness while doing so. I got to experience the magic of working with her when we were co-teaching yoga together. I was impressed with her a strong ability to break down and teach concepts and practices in a way that’s easy to understand. She has a great sense of humor, which helps the sessions feel quite fun and connected. I highly recommend working with her if you get the chance! – Bria Tavakoli
